As I look back at 2023, I'm thankful for a very busy and successful year. My New Year's resolution business-wise is to better communicate our controls, software and service offerings. We have completed some really interesting projects over the past 12 months and at the heart of that is dhPlus -- our platform for conveyor and warehouse control.

We're pleased to announce release 1.7 of dhPlus, our affordable turnkey solution for conveyor and warehouse control. In addition to the Standard and Enterprise editions, 1.7 introduces the Flex edition.

Flex is not yet on the dhPlus product page, but will be officially added in the coming months. Flex was born from the ongoing global supply chain crisis coupled with the need to more quickly design, build and deploy systems. More on that in future posts and updates to the product page.

DHA has been in business for over 3 years now, and we have worked out of our home offices and traveled to customer sites for all of that time. Yesterday, we picked up the keys and badges for our new 5th floor office. It's a small space, but we now have easy access to conference rooms and other facilities. Having a commercial address also puts us on a better footing to hire and sponsor H1B Visa engineers in the future.

With that said, all engineers can still work from home and travel to job sites as necessary.

In a move to increase the quality, capability and overall value of dhPlus, the Enterprise edition is now based on Fernhill SCADA.

As is our way, the customer is front and center. We will continue to support all Enterprise deployments that used Aveva Edge (i.e Indusoft Webstudio) for as long as a customer requires.

Microsoft officially announced Windows 11 today. It's hard to believe that Windows has been around for 35 years now.

Didn't Microsoft once say that Windows 10 would be the last numbered version of Windows?

Indusoft Web Studio is now AVEVA Edge. Same product, just a different name.

You now have to buy it through an AVEVA distributer and use AVEVA customer support. AVEVA Edge fits in with their larger suite of software offerings.

The price is also a little higher, but still way below all of their main competitors.

We'll see how this goes.

As of this morning, DHA is now a Certified System Integrator for Indusoft Web Studio (IWS).

It is a great product with affordable licensing. IWS is known for its depth of features, stability, scalability and unwavering commercial support for over 23 years.

We use IWS as a platform for our warehouse control and factory automation applications.

I watched a YouTube video recently titled Drop Your Tools -- Does Expertise Have a Dark Side?. This is a fascinating video with great storytelling.
